POTTERSVILLE - Floyd Leslie Holcomb, Jr., 69,died unexpectedly Sunday, February 18, 2024.
Born March 17, 1954 in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of the late Floyd Leslie and Joyce (Drake) Holcomb.
Floyd was a retired union laborer in the construction industry. His hobbies included four wheeling, snowmobiling, wrestling, family gatherings and loved cake and Pepsi. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by three brothers: Robert and Laural Holcomb, Earl Forbes, one sister-in-law, Effie Holcomb.
Survivors include his wife, of 24 years, Sandra L. Holcomb; two sons: Joshua (Gem) Holcomb, Jeremiah Holcomb; one step-son, Dr. Nathaniel (Kali) Bump; one step-daughter, Amanda Bump; one brother, Richard (Cheryl) Holcomb; stepfather and stepmother, Frank and Kathy Forbes; four grandchildren: Mateo, Dominick and Mia Holcomb, Hailey Thornton; two great-grandchildren: Oaklee and Emerson; sisters and brothers-in-law: Michele LeBrun, Beverly (James) Caples, Donna VanDerwarker, George (Debbie) Viele, Eugene (Nancy) Viele, Mary Lou Viele; many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Friday February 23, 2024 at Barton-McDermott Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Pine St., Chestertown, NY 12817. Services will follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
