I met Harry 13 years ago when I waitressed the breakfast shift at Shirley's in Saratoga Springs. When Harry came in, he was always upbeat. Over the years, we became great friends. Harry and I had a lot in common. We would bounce ideas off each other about teaching and coaching since I am a physical education teacher and coach. When I moved back to Florida, we still talked every week. I would speak to him about teaching and how I wanted to move back to NY. He was a wealth of knowledge and offered great advice. I ended up moving back to NY to teach, and Harry and I still had long conversations about the education system and how the times have changed. Harry loved coaching and always spoke about filling in during baseball camps to help future players. Harry enjoyed his morning ritual of going to breakfast and sitting in Congress Park. When I visited Harry in the hospital, I would tell him to keep his spirits up and maintain a positive mindset, which Harry always seemed to do. I will miss you, my friend, and our conversations. Rest easy, Harry.

Harry had a keen insight, a gracious wisdom, always a youthful gleam in his eye and a caring heart that made him a great coach, teacher, and friend. Remember him, learn from him and carry on his legacy.
