Nov. 2, 1984 - Aug. 14, 2024
GLENS FALLS – Jason E. Fish, 39, of Glens Falls, passed away August 14, 2024. Jason was born on November 2, 1984, at Moses Ludington Hospital in Ticonderoga, NY.
Jason is survived by his daughter, Olivia Fish, Liverpool, NY who he loved without measure; his parents, Ed and Pam Nolan, Ticonderoga; his brothers:: Jeremy Fish (Julie) Winchester, MA and Matthew Nolan (Anna Cook), Brandon, VT; as well as his father, Mike Fish (Bernie), Concord, NC; and siblings: Mike Fish, Schroon Lake and Sam Fish, Ticonderoga.
Jason also leaves behind his niece and nephew, Harper and Henry Fish with whom he had a special connection; a number of aunts and uncles including: Ann and Tim Siebecker, Steve Woods, Beebe and Bob Eckels, Shirley and John Swigor, Betty Jacques and Mike Nolan, Joan Powell, Lori and Steve Ross, Melanie and Kraig teRiele, Todd and Bobbie Fish; and many cousins. Jason had many friends, including his special friends: Amber, Ryan M., Casey, Nick, and Ryan Y.
Jason was predeceased by his grandparents: Ed and Betty Jean LaRock, Joe and Marie Nolan and Herm Fish and Linda Fish Megow; as well as his aunts: Kathy Woods and Mary Alice Nolan, and uncle Dennis Nolan.
Jason graduated from Ticonderoga High School in 2003, and Bridgton Academy in 2004. During high school Jason was a talented three sport athlete and was inducted into the Sentinel Hall of Fame in 2022. He was employed by Hacker Boat Company, where he was immensely proud of his work and a valued employee.
Some may have been aware of Jason's struggle with substance use; but he was so much more. He loved his family and knew we loved him. Jason worked hard for his long periods of sustained sobriety and would offer support and understanding to others with similar struggles. As Trey Anastasio, one of Jason's musical idols has said "People in recovery aren't bad people trying to be good. They are sick people trying to get well." Jason's journey led him to meet a number of people in the recovery community in the areas where he lived: Ticonderoga, Glens Falls, Plattsburgh and Syracuse. We thank you all for the fellowship and support you've given him.
Jason was a gentle soul with a big, beautiful heart, who we are learning truly had such an impact on so many. He had a special ability to connect with others. A hard worker and great listener, he was down to earth and generous, happiest when he was making other people feel good. Jason was a friendly, peaceful guy with a great sense of humor.
Think of Jason and smile when you see a football, basketball or baseball – or more recently a cornhole game or a pair of hiking boots. Think of him when you see a Hacker glide across the lake or hear a Phish or Goose song. Remember him when you see a father who loves his daughter and when you hear the sweet laughter of children playing with an adoring uncle. Think of him when you see someone struggling who needs your compassion or support and not your judgement; and when you see a group of people gathered in fellowship sharing experience, strength and hope.
In lieu of flowers, donations in support of his daughter Olivia's future needs may be made to the Jason Fish Memorial Fund at TrailNorth FCU, 1178 NYS Rt. 9N, Ticonderoga, NY 12883. If you prefer and it's in your heart and budget, donations in Jason's memory may be made to the Divided Sky Foundation, Ludlow, VT.

Jason was a wonderful young man with a infectious smile, exuberant energy and positive outlook on life. Jason is exactly the kind of student athlete any coach would love to work with. Tough, resilient and a team oriented ....
My condolences to Jason's family, in particular Jeremy who exhibited all of the same positive characteristics.
Best wishes during this difficult time.
