Michelle Lee Floyd
INDIAN LAKE - It is with deep sorrow and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Michelle Lee Floyd. She unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the age of 58.
Michelle was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, sister, daughter, and dear friend. Her family was the center of her world, especially her grandchildren, who meant everything to her and brought her endless joy.
Michelle's life began in Raquette Lake, where she grew up surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors and worked at Raquette Lake Supply Co. She later made her home in Indian Lake, where she worked at several places including The Hedges, Minnowbrook, Hemlock Hall, and Stewart's, before joining Sunmount DDSO, dedicating her career to helping others with warmth and compassion until retiring in 2025.
Michelle carried that love of nature and creativity throughout her life. She could often be found fishing, tending to her garden, or working on her diamond art projects, all of which brought her peace and happiness. She also found joy in thrift shopping, where she loved searching for little treasures.
Michelle married her loving husband, Alan Floyd, on July 25, 2017, and they shared many wonderful years together filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
She courageously fought cancer for four years and was in remission at the time of her passing. Her strength, grace, and determination throughout her journey were an inspiration to all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Alan Floyd; her children, Joshua LaVergne (Sarah), Rachel McNamara (Daimon), and Amy Floyd; and her beloved grandchildren, Claire LaPierre, Carter McNamara, WyllaMae LaVergne, Grayson McNamara, JosieJo LaVergne, Otis LaVergne, and Henry Halla, who were her entire world.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Deshaw.
