Patricia H Moriarty

Mrs. Patricia H. (Jackson) Moriarty, 90, of Olmstedville, passed away Monday morning, June 16, 2025. Born in 1935 in Olmstedville, she resided for most of her life in the house her grandfather built. She was the daughter of the late Vernon and Ruth Brannon Jackson.
Patricia, known by her loved ones as Muzz, Patsy, Pat, Aunt Pat or Grandma, was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Daniel.
Pat is survived by her brother and sister, Pete (Rose) of Cedar Rapids, IA and Susie (Tim) of Lake Oswego, OR; sister-in-law, Judy, of North Creek; two sons and two daughters, Kevin (Judy) of Frederick, MD, Kimberly and Kelly of Lansdale, PA, and Kerry (Stephanie) of Guilderland, NY; and five grandchildren, Rebecca, Theresa, Daniel, Kathryn, and William. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and friends. All will dearly miss her.
She will be remembered as a much loved and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Favorite memories include her love of sweets (especially chocolate, cake, and ice cream) and peanut butter. She was a wonderful baker of chocolate cream, apple, and lemon meringue pies. An avid piano player, she also enjoyed knitting and sewing. Throughout her life, she truly enjoyed the company of many canine companions. She loved the great Adirondack outdoors, spending time hiking, cross-country skiing and biking.
Pat worked as a USPS rural mail carrier, delivering mail on the Hoffman/Loch Muller and beyond route for 25+ years, making long-lasting connections with her postal patrons. Upon retirement, she ventured on many RV trips around the US with her husband as well as trips to Europe. A devout Catholic, she was a life-long member of St. Joseph's Church.
Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 19 at Edward L. Kelly Funeral Home in Schroon Lake, NY. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 20, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with Fr. Philip Allen officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Irishtown. Following interment, a social gathering to celebrate her life will be held at the Minerva Community Center. All are welcome.
