Sherry Lee (Griffin) Carr

FORT EDWARD/TICONDEROGA - Sherry Lee (Griffin) Carr, 82, of Fort Edward and formerly of Ticonderoga, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at the Fort Hudson Nursing Home of Fort Edward.

Born October 17, 1943, in Glens Falls, N.Y., she is the daughter of the late Wallace G. and Elinor F. (O'Dell) Griffin. She was a graduate of Argyle High School.

Sherry married Thomas James Carr on July 30, 1971. They lived in Ticonderoga for many years. Later in life, they spent their winters in Georgia and returned to the Glens Falls area in the summers to be with family.

Through the years, she worked at Moses-Ludington Nursing Home of Ticonderoga and owned and operated Delano Road Day Care in Ticonderoga for over 20 years. She was active as a girl scout leader, boy scout den mother, and taught Sunday School at the Baptist Church of Ticonderoga.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, Wallace and Elinor Griffin; her husband, Tom Carr in 2024; her step-daughter, Pamela Carr; her sister, Bev; and two brothers, Wallace and Richard Griffin.

Survivors include her daughter, Kim (Doug); her son, Jeff (Lenora); her step-son, Todd (Katie) and Jeff #2; her sisters, Rayna (Gene), Jan (James), and Jill (Kevin); and her brother, Douglas. She is also survived by four granddaughters, Kristen, Amanda, Heather and Lauren; five grandsons, Justin, Brett, Austin, Nick and Adam; and three great-grandsons, Jaxson, Hendrix and James.

No Services will be held per Sherry's wishes.
