HADLEY - Yvonne E. Wright, 90, of Third Ave., passed away Tuesday morning, December 9, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born on September 19, 1935, in Mayfield, she was the daughter of the late Nelson F. Edwards, Sr. and Maeona Tompkins. She was a graduate of Northville High School.
Yvonne raised her family and then worked for 28 years as the manager of Bend of the River Golf Course where she was known for her potato salad, divot burger and mini clubs. She later worked a few years at The Paper Factory at the Lake George Outlets.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, visiting with friends and family, and bowling. She was a charter member of the William J. Varney American Legion Post 862 Auxiliary, a past member of the Lake Luzerne Grange and Hadley Luzerne Lioness Club.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Claude B. Wright, Sr., and a son, Ronald Wright.
Survivors include her children, Claude "Tink" (Mona) Wright, Jr., of Hadley, Nanette (James) Postlethwait of York, Pa., Carolyn (Scott) Doyle of Richmond Hill, Ga., Colleen (Ed) Pike of Lake Luzerne, Marlene (Peter) Barton of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Arthur "Mo" (Pamela) Wright of Hadley; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Neldene Mull of Covington, Va.; a brother, Nelson (Connie) Edwards, Jr. of The Villages, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.
Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at the funeral home.
Private burial will be in Luzerne Cemetery, Lake Luzerne.
There will be a celebration of life at the American Legion Post 862 following the service.
