Johnny Dean "Johnny Five" Schertler of Pocola, Oklahoma was born in El Reno, Oklahoma to Johnny Richard and Hazel Juanita (Spencer) Schertler and passed away in December 18, 2025 at his home in Pocola, Oklahoma at the age of 66.

Richard Schertler of Lawton, Oklahoma
Gary Wayne Nason of Pocola, Oklahoma
Three grandchildren:
Melanie Bandy, Mateo Banndy, and Valentina Schertler
Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends
He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Carol Ann Schertler; and two brothers, Danny Lee Nason and Eddie Nason.
Johnny Five was a longtime resident of the area and a welder on the oil rig. He was known as the Grillmaster, loved to sing karaoke, and grow medical marijuana. Johnny Five loved to visit with family and friends, and drink a good beer. He loved life to the fullest. Johnny Five will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
