Richard W. Yentzer Obituary

Richard W. Yentzer, Sr., 87, of Coudersport, PA, passed away at Sweden Valley Manor on Friday, August 9, 2013. Richard was the husband of the late Hazel G. Buchanan Yentzer and shared 68 years of marriage prior to her passing on July 14, 2012.
Richard was born in Sweden Twp. on November 20, 1925 and was the son of the late Roscoe Riley and Hazel Mae Tombs Yentzer.
Richard was a Navy Veteran of World War II and was proud of his service to his country.
Richard was a retiree of Pittsburgh Corning of Port Allegany after 30 years of service. He was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church of Coudersport and sold real estate and life insurance for a number of years in the Potter county area.
Richard is survived by three sons Richard W. Yentzer, Jr. (Sharon) of St. Petersburg FL, Kenneth P. Yentzer of Canandaigua, NY, Rodney J. Yentzer of Coudersport, three daughters Patricia K. Stebbins of Coudersport, Marjorie Ann Rosenburger (Gordon Patrick "Pat") of Summerville, SC, Betty J. Henry (Roger) of Coudersport, a brother Eugene Yentzer of Port Allegany, a sister Lois Coppersmith of Emporium, and by 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and by 5 great great-grandchildren.
Richard is predeceased by his wife Hazel, two brothers and one sister.
Family and friends are invited to attend Richard's Life Celebration service on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church Chestnut St. Coudersport, PA. Rev. Richard Kuehlman will officiate the memorial service. Interment will be private.
In Richard's memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church.
The funeral arrangements are in the care of Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home, Ltd. "A Life Celebration Home" of Coudersport, PA.

Uncle Richard will be sadly missed. He was my father's brother and father all rolled into one. I will treasure the many trips we went on when I was younger.
