Albert Kalmbach, Jr., 92, husband of the late Betty F. (Rothrock) Kalmbach and longtime Trappe resident, died Monday, September 20, 2021, at Spring Mill Senior Living, East Pikeland Twp. Albert was born on August 6, 1929, in Alt Posttal, a German settlement Bessarabia (now Ukraine), to the late Albert, Sr. and Hilda (Krause) Kalmbach. With his family, he emigrated to the United States in 1952. Albert began work as a carpenter eventually owning and successfully operating his own construction business. Albert was a dedicated and loving husband and father.  He was a positive role model for his family and extended family. Albert is survived by his loving children, Kim Aliese Kalmbach, Ft. Edwards, CA, Karen M., wife of Benjamin Trave, Charlestown Twp., Keith D., husband of Andrea (Gravatte) Kalmbach, Frankford, DE, and Kurt B. Kalmbach, husband of Lauren Wadsworth, E. Pikeland Twp.; his siblings, Ewald, husband of Deanna (Mowere) Kalmbach, E Pikeland Twp., and Irene, wife of Calvin Fagley, Grand Rapids, MI; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter and three siblings. Funeral services will be private with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Macungie. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Centennial Lutheran Church, 1330 Hares Hill Rd, Kimberton, PA 19442, or Alzheimer’s Assn., https://www.alz.org/delval/donate.
