Alice Schaeffer

Alice Schaeffer, 84 of Parkerford, Pa, passed away on January 13, 2021 at Pottstown Memorial Hospital. Alice spent 60+ years of her life living in Parkerford married to her now late husband, John Schaeffer. She was known to everyone as “Aunt Alice” or “Memom”. Alice graduated from Spring City High School. Over the years, she held many jobs at local places including Spring City Knit, Linfield Hotel, Golden Age Manor, ParkHouse Rehabilitation and Homemart. Alice was predeceased by her husband Irvin “John” Schaeffer and her son, Terry Schaeffer. She is survived by her daughter Shirl, wife of Dennis Flasher, Spring City, son Donny, husband of Coleen Schaeffer, Pottstown, son Rick, husband of Barb Schaeffer, Parkerford and daughter Kim, spouse of Michele Spangler, Pottstown, Alice love her 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Alice enjoyed the simple things in life! She loved to camp, especially at Scrappy’s, and go swimming in the creek. She loved spending a lazy day taking a float down the river and having a campfire along the bank. Alice was quite fond of a good party and was always the last one to go! It wasn’t unusual to see her with blinking jewelry to match the current holiday. In her later years, Alice was known to sit and reminisce about the good ole days and all the adventurous and whacky things she used to do. She will be missed. The family will celebrate her life in the Spring, outside, location to be determined, future date to be announced.
