Charles W. Beekley, Sr., 97, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on September 21, 2021. He was the husband of the late Betty B. (Turner) Beekley, who passed away in 2006. Born in Cedarville, PA, on January 12, 1924, Charles was the son of the late George H. Beekley, Sr., and Ruth A. (Addams) Hoverter. Charles served in the United States Army during WWII, and then began his career working as a truck driver for various companies. He retired in 1989 from John Pfrommer Trucking Company in Douglassville, PA. Charles could often be seen out walking, socializing with his neighbors, always with a Churchill cigar. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Barry (& Chuncha) Ziegler, Sharon (& Scott) Smith, Diane Pellicciotti, and her partner, Richard Miller, and Charles Beekley, Jr.; and his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Charles is predeceased by his daughter, Nancy Moser; his great-grandson, Ricky Fox III; and his siblings, John Beekley, George Beekley, Jr., Herbert Beekley, and Frances Malesky. A viewing will take place on September 28, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464.
