Charles Krause Obituary

CHARLES W. KRAUSE JR., 94 Charles W. Krause Jr., 94, husband of the late Stella T. (Scales) Krause, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Greenfield Senior Living, Schwenksville. He was a former resident of Lower Pottsgrove Twp., Winder, GA, and Limerick Twp. Mr. Krause was born on November 12, 1921, in Limerick Twp., and was a son of the late Charles W. and Emma (Landis) Krause. He served as a Technician 5th Grade, with the 22nd Military Police Battalion, US Army, in France, during World War II. Before he retired, Mr. Krause was a union carpenter with the Bechtel Corporation, who spent many years helping to build the Limerick Nuclear Generating Station. Mr. Krause was a member of Berean Bible Church, where he offered his carpentry skills for many projects, and a member of Roy S. Leidy Post #203, American Legion, Schwenksville. He also enjoyed hunting and trap shooting. He was a member of the Lower Pottsgrove Gun Club and Cherokee Gun Club, Gainesville, GA. Mr. Krause is survived by his children, Dianne, wife of Conrad Buehler, Greenville, SC; James, husband of Gennie Neal, Hiram, GA; John, husband of Julie Keifrider, Muskogee, OK, and Lisa, wife of Perry Kline, Upper Frederick Twp.; his brother, Morris, husband of Ruth (Hallman) Krause, Lower Pottsgrove Twp.; seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Lucas. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, at the Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., 21 Main St., Trappe, with the Rev. Jace Erb, Pastor, Berean Bible Church, officiating. Burial will be in Schwenksville Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675, www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
