Charles Nesley, Sr. Charles J. Nesley Sr, 94, of Fort Myers, FL, and formerly of Pottstown, PA, died Friday May 7, 2021 at Hope Hospice of Fort Myers, FL. Born in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of the late Reed and Elizabeth (Bickel) Nesley. Mr. Nesley was the owner of Nesley Excavating and Paving retiring in 1983. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WWII. Mr. Nesley enjoyed woodworking and traveling. He is survived by his companion, Mary Dalton; his second wife, Helen (Jones) Nesley, sister, Mary Ellen Moore; daughter, Mary Jane Illigasch; grandchildren, Charles J. Nesley III and his wife Laura; Jennifer Armstrong and her husband Matthew; Megan Haines and her husband Ron; Ryan Levengood; Tracey Kiefner and her husband John; Richie Varconda; Crystal and Holly Illigasch. Great grandchildren, James, Luke, Layla, Madison, Lorelei, Charles IV, Hunter, Lauren, Ella, and Grant. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane (Silknitter) Nesley; son Charles J. Nesley, Jr.; daughter, Diana Levengood; brothers, Joe, William and Richard Nesley; and his sister, Elizabeth Reich. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home, 359 King St., Pottstown, PA. Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA.
