D. Hunsberger Obituary

D. Matthew Hunsberger, 55, of Norristown died after an extended illness on Friday, January 26, 2024, at St. Luke's Hospice, Bethlehem. Born in Pottstown, PA on April 26, 1968, he was the son of the late Duncan and Esther (Houck) Hunsberger. Matthew graduated from the Hill School and Boston University, and was employed by Montgomery County and PennDOT. He enjoyed science fiction, movies, classical music and his cat, Raven. He is survived by siblings: Terence (Esther) Yoder, Timothy (Sharon) Yoder, Steven (Teresa) Yoder, Nancy (Randy) Hall, Margaret (Paul) Kidon, Jean Henninger; nieces, nephews, cousins, an aunt and an uncle. Matthew was predeceased by siblings Diane Hunsberger and Carol Contois. A memorial service to honor his life will be held in the summer. To recognize the exceptional care Matt received, his family suggests donations to St. Luke's Hospice at 2455 Black River Road, Bethlehem, PA 18015.
