Dennis F. Dempsey, Jr. of Schwenksville passed away April 9th at Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Lorraine (Bunny Bickhart) Dempsey with whom he shared 65 years of marriage. Born in Pasadena, CA, he was the son of the late Dennis Dempsey, Sr. and Alice (Corum) Dempsey. The family relocated to PA in 1946. He graduated from Pottstown High School in 1953. He worked at American Machine and Tool in Royersford for over 40 years. His greatest joy came from tending his animals, wood cutting on his hobby farm and spending time with the boys at the Archery Club. He was very thankful for his Chapel Family. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed competing with his wife in the sports. He loved to tell stories of his travels throughout the United States and was proud of his two road trips driving to Alaska and back two times. He was a life member of the Friendship Fire Company in Royersford, the Limerick Bowmen Archery Club, Limerick Township Historical Society, and the Lower Pottsgrove Sportsmen’s Association. Surviving with his wife are grandsons, Aaron and Dennis 4th In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his son Dennis F. Dempsey 3rd and his sister Audrey Speilman. Our hearts are broken, Bunny, Den, Felicia, Aaron and Erin. At his request, services will be private.
