Florence Fry Fonnie James 101, of Royersford, PA, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 24, 2024 in Royersford. She was the widow of William Q. James. The funeral service will be held at Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 10:30 AM with Reverend Paul Thornhill officiating. Burial will follow at Fernwood/Royersford Cemetery, Royersford, PA . Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Fonnie was born in Royersford to the late Carl and Sarah Fry on August 1, 1922. She went to school at Royersford High School. She worked at Sutton's Pharmacy, Spring-ford Pharmacy, Montgomery County Geriatric Center, Wendy's and CVS. She enjoyed spending time with her family, golfing, church, cooking and baking and was an avid Eagles fan (GO BIRDS). Fonnie is survived by her sister, Sally Weber of Royersford. She is predeceased by sisters Jeanne Yerk, Pauline Fry, and Thelma Guest. She is survived by her sons Lee (Marsha) James of Cape May, NJ, Gary (Robin) James of Pottstown, Pa, granddaughters Ashley (Mike) Rotondo of Royersford and Kendra (Aly) James of West Chester, a grandog Dakota James and two great grandchildren, Amelia and Spencer James.
