Frank Dieter Obituary

Frank Robinson Dieter, 76, of Pottstown, husband of Carol Ann (Davis) Dieter, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, Feb. 14 surrounded by those he loved. Born in Hampton, VA he was the son of the late Zander H. and Elizabeth (Briggs) Dieter. Frank was a 1962 graduate of Haverford High School. He went on to receive his Associates Degree in architecture from Thaddeus Stevens Trade School in Lancaster in 1965. In 1971 he received his BA in Industrial Arts from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, and then received his Masters in 1972. Frank worked as an industrial arts teacher at Bala Cynwyd Middle School from 1973 – 1983. From 1983 to 1993 he worked as a mechanical engineer at Eagle Micro Systems in Elverson. He also worked as Plant Engineer from 1994 to 2007 at Metech Inc/Lord Corporation in Elverson. Frank was Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corp serving from 1968 to 1969. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, biking, camping cooking and gardening. Frank was also an avid fan of Owen J. Roberts Wrestling. Frank was proud of the restoration he did on his 1957 Chevy convertible and both designing and building his beautiful home. But most of all he loved being with his family and friends and will be sadly missed by all. Surviving with his wife of 51 years is son Kurt A. Dieter, husband of Lauren; brother Carl J. Dieter; and grandchildren Sophia Rose and Jase Adam Dieter. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his sons Erik Karl Dieter and Brett Nathan Dieter; and brother Todd W. Dieter. A funeral service will be held Saturday, 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC, 711 N. Franklin Street, Pottstown. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Pottstown. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00Am to 10:45AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank’s name to Thaddeus Stevens Alumni Association, 740 East End Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17602. I wish we could do 1 last volcrom lesson uncle frank or play chess because I have learned it and play it on the regular so I miss you uncle Frank

An entire year has passed, but we will never forget Frank's lovely presence. He had such a quiet way about him but was really clever and funny and so interesting and loved his Wife immensely. It showed all over his face. He will never be forgotten. Huggs to Frank in Heaven and huggs to Carol here.
