Frank Wolfe Obituary

FRANK KELSO WOLFE, 45, OF ROYERSFORD Frank Kelso Wolfe, 45, of Royersford, died on Tuesday, October 7, 2014. He was the son of Robert and Cecilia Wolfe and the brother of Nettie Wolfe Silva, wife of Fabio Silva. Frank was a 1987 graduate of the Spring-Ford High School. He earned his BS in Art Education from Kutztown University in 2001. He formerly worked at the Spring Valley YMCA. More recently, he was working as a peer specialist at Creative Health Services in Pottstown. Frank was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church in Pottstown. Frank would often speak of the deep gratitude he felt for his family and so many caring friends. Many knew him as the creative mind and spirit-rich soul behind vibrantly stirring paintings, drawings, sculptures, angel and peace greeting cards, poems, short stories, essays, stand-up comedy and the beloved stage performance called "Love and Bagels." He self-published several books of poems and lived to explore and expand his artistry. In addition to his parents and sister, Frank is survived by one nephew: Jamie W. Silva. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Tuesday morning, October 14, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held privately on Monday in the Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford. Friends will be received from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his name to the Royersford Art Department, 17 North 4th Avenue, Royersford, PA 19468. I actually hired Frank at the Spring Valley YMCA and he was such a sweetheart.... I do miss him we would talk from time to time on the phone and he would tell me about all of his performances coming up. A couple of times I went to see him, I think the last time he performed and I was there to see him was in collegeville.... I always enjoyed Frank's performances ....a very talented man.... he is truly missed truly missed !! Now Frank is in HEAVEN and he is performing for GOD.

Dear Wolfe family my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I met Frank at the (YMCA) at the Royersford preschool/daycare inside the church on the corner, I hired Frank because I saw so much kindness and love
for children; he had so much talent to use with all the children . He invited me to one of many of his poetry readings in a coffeehouse in Collegeville and I enjoyed listening to him read his poems, it was great the coffeehouse was packed and I was lucky enough to get a sit. It is such a honor to have met him ! He will be dearly missed by me and all who got a chance to meet him ! I can see him in HEAVEN already drawing a crowd of all who live there. GODBLESS you Frank I will really miss you. Your friend forever Stacy

I had the pleasure of working with Frank at Creative Health for several years. He demonstrated that recovery is possible and that it is never too late to remake yourself. I remember many conversations about art, music, and food. He was a man of many creative talents and a natural performer. I would like to express my deepest sympathy to his family and friends. I hope cherished memories provide some comfort during this difficult time.

I often saw Frank walking down Bridge Street in Phoenixville, and that was enough to bring poetry to mind. The way he walked would itself be a living work of art - making others see what they may not have otherwise imagined. It was good to have his life enliven my imagination.
