Guy W. Haupt

Guy W. Haupt, 92, husband of Patricia E. (Tighe) Haupt of Chestnut St., Pottstown, passed away Friday February 23, 2018 at the Pottstown Hospital. Born in Gowen City, PA he was the son of Charles S. and Florence (Smink) Haupt. He was employed as a fitter by the Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 30 years retiring in 1976. Guy was a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Four Battle Stars Army veteran of WW II and served at the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of St. Aloysius RC Church and a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Surviving with his wife is a daughter Patricia A. Haupt and a son Guy J. Haupt and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Grant Haupt and a sister Grace Reitz. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 am Wednesday February 28, 2018 at St. Aloysius RC Church, Beech and Hanover Sts., Pottstown. Burial will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday morning for 9:30 to 10:45 am at the church gathering center. Arrangements by the Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, Pottstown.
