Isabel J. Ewing

Isabel J. “Liz” (Knickerbocker) Ewing, 85, wife of Robert L. Ewing, Upper Providence Twp., died Friday, March 18, at Phoenix Center For Rehab. & Nursing, Phoenixville. Isabel was born on November 11, 1936, in Scranton, to the late Chester J. and Muriel E. (Gager) Knickerbocker. She was a graduate of Marple-Newtown High School and Sacred Heart Hospital School Of Nursing, Norristown. Before retiring, Isabel was a nurse for family physicians Stephen K. Williams, MD, John C. Maerz, MD, and Trappe Family Practice. In addition to her husband, Isabel is survived by her children, Linda, wife of Glenn Woodland, Boyertown, Robert Jr., husband of Cheryl Ewing, Upper Providence Twp., Leighanne, wife of Robert Dare, Royersford, and David Ewing, at home; her siblings, Chester Knickerbocker, Lower Pottsgrove Twp., and Judith Bougon, Upper Frederick Twp.; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother David Knickerbocker. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
