Jacqueline Anne Repko

Jacqueline Anne (Heil) Repko, of Gilbertsville, PA, widow of the late Raymond Repko of Pottstown, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021 in Jacksonville Beach, FL. Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Aloysius and Caroline (Gumbarge) Heil.

Jacqueline spent the better part of the past sixty-four years perfecting the art of mothering, grand-mothering, and great-grand-mothering. She and her husband Barney raised nine children through the latter half of the 20th century, living primarily in the New Hanover Township farmhouse that served as the Repko homestead since 1964.

A graduate of Pottstown High School, class of 1955, Jackie married and began a family in December of 1956. Nine children were born over the next eight years, with identical triplets Faith, Hope, and Charity being born in April of 1965. They were the first identical triplets born in the area, and newspapers such as The Mercury covered the story extensively. Multiple follow-up stories appeared for the next decade. In 1976, Mrs. Repko won The Mercury’s Good Sport Award, as she was recognized for attending sports events for her athletically-inclined children. She was a regular at Boyertown sporting events through the late 70s and early 80s.

Mrs. Repko loved to cook and was known to host Sunday dinners for as many as thirty family members and friends on a routine basis. Spaghetti was a favorite, but dishes such as PA Dutch style chicken pot pie and halupkis were also popular. In her later years, Jackie did weekly cleaning for the Barn at Birchwood, a family business. She was also a regular at Sunday Mass, frequenting multiple local Catholic churches, such as St. Aloysius, St. Mary’s (Delphi), St. Columbkill’s in Boyertown, and also St. Teresa of Calcutta in Schwenksville.

Surviving are her sons Michael B. Repko, husband of Cynthia (Melcher) Repko, Jay K. Repko, Philip E. Repko, husband of Julie (Humphries) Repko, Roy C. Repko, husband of Denise (Gvodas) Repko; daughters Elizabeth (Repko) Swerdloff, wife of Lee Swerdloff, Jeanine Marie (Repko) Ballantyne, wife of Scott Ballantyne, Faith (Repko) Dehring, wife of Robert Dehring, Hope (Repko) Gunn, and Charity (Repko) Wintle, wife of Jeff Wintle; grandchildren Matthew Repko, Nathan Repko, Melia Repko-Erwin, Jayson Repko, Jacob Repko, Janelle Repko, Maggie Swerdloff, Katie Swerdloff, Philip J. Repko, Emily (Repko) Moser, Ian C. Repko, Brandon Ballantyne, Shannon (Ballantyne) Becker, Ryan C. Repko, Brett Repko, Eric M. Repko, Samantha Dehring, Sean Dehring, Aaron Dehring, Alec Gunn, Camryn Gunn, Chanel Thomasos, Abi (Thomasos) McCartney, Joshua WIntle, and Noah Wintle; great grandchildren Ryan Repko, Anthony Repko, Noah Repko-Erwin, Emerson Repko-Erwin, Gabrielle and Emma Repko, Brooke Repko, , Westly, Evangeline, and Alexandria Repko, Harper, Hudson, and Judah Repko, Ivory, Olivia, Clementine Repko, Laine and Wesley Repko, Callen and Emeric Becker.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at St. Aloysius Church (223 Beech St, Pottstown, PA 19464) at 10:30AM, with Fr. Joseph L. Maloney officiating. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, from 9:00-10:15AM at the church.
