John "J.J." Lutz

John "J.J." Lutz, 97, of Douglassville, PA, died Friday, April 14, 2023 at the Reading Hospital. Born in Pottstown, PA, he was the son of the late Lewis and Ida Mae (Riegal) Lutz. He was the husband of A. Jean (Fidazzo) Lutz. John retired from the former J. Fegley & Son, Stowe, PA. John was an Army veteran of WWII, receiving a Bronze Star. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Norco Fire Company, and the West End Fire Company. John enjoyed bowling, working in his yard, computer games, and he was a collector of Emmett Kelly, Jr. clowns. He also enjoyed going to his cabin, Itchy Pines, in Marshalls Creek, PA. Surviving along with his wife are two daughters, Bonnie Gibble of Exeter Twp., Berks Co., PA, Marci, wife of Robert Forst of Upper Pottsgrove Twp., Montgomery Co. PA; sister, Catherine Yoder of Pottstown, PA; step-son, Ron Flack of Tomball, TX; two grandchildren, Andrea Gibble and Nicole Forst; two step-grandchildren, Amber Herrera and Brandy Harbolt. John was predeceased in death by brothers, George Lutz, Frank Lutz, and Roy Lutz; sisters, Helen Levengood, Estelle Huels, and Mary Segnere; step-daughter, Patricia Sanders; step-son, Brian Flack. Friends and relatives are invited to the viewing on Wednesday, April 19th, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA., the funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Following the service interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown, PA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Dengler Funeral Home, Inc.
