John Richard Sheplock Sr.

JOHN RICHARD SHEPLOCK SR., 88, OF PHOENIXVILLE John Richard Sheplock Sr., 88, husband of Sandra (Griffith) Sheplock of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Seasons Hospice. Born in Phoenixville, PA he was a son of the late Michael and Anna (Pastrick) Sheplock. Johnny was a graduate of Phoenixville High School in the class of 1947. He left school and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1945 and served state side for two years, then returned to school to graduate. He then went on to Alliance College in Cambridge Springs, PA and graduated with a machinist degree. He was employed as a machinist at Phoenix Steel Corp until it closed. He was then employed in the machine shop of Omega Design in Lionville. He retired in 2001. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Phoenixville. Johnny was also a lifetime member of Phoenixville No. 1 Fire Company and the Liberty Fire Company in Spring City. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Deborah Ann wife of Chester Buchkowski of Phoenixville, Michelle Rena wife of Richard Bader of Elverson and Sonya Denice Ploshay of Arab, AL; three sons, John Richard Jr. husband of Dawn Sheplock of Kissimmee, FL, Thomas Scott husband of Kathy Sheplock of Coatesville and Robert Alan Sheplock of Douglassville, and eight grandchildren, David Buchkowski of Trappe; Samantha Bader of Denver, CO; Fawn and Adam Sheplock of Kissimmee, FL; Christopher and Nicholas Sheplock of Coatesville; Brandon and Devon Ploshay of Arab, AL. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Elmer Sheplock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 146 Church Street, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Mont Clare, PA.
