Kenneth Drumheller Obituary

KENNETH C. DRUMHELLER SR., 87, OF POTTSTOWN Kenneth C. "Whoop" Drumheller Sr., 87, widow of Josey (Yeagle) Drumheller of Pottstown, died Monday in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Pottstown on March 27, 1926, he was the son of the late Earl and Verna (Scheidt) Drumheller. Over the years, Whoop was a salesman for Schultz Baking Co., and ARA, Reading. His hobbies were building homes and restoring antiques. Kenneth was a graduate of Pottstown High School class of 1944. He went to all their monthly meetings. He was fifteen when he made the All Suburban Football Team in 1941. He was a veteran serving in France and German with the 100th infantry in World War II as a sergeant. He is survived by three children, Karyl Ann Holland, South Carolina; JoAnne (Sell) Drumheller, Pottstown, and Kenneth C. Drumheller Jr., Pottstown; a sister, Fern (Drumheller) Dwyer, Albany, NY; five grandchildren, Terry Sell, Sharon (Sell) Heydt, Jennifer Drumheller, Todd Drumheller and Michele Holland, and six great-grandchildren, Jordan Sell, Sarah Heydt, Andrea Heydt, Julia Heydt, Sara Jones and Ryan Jones. He was predeceased by his wife of 69 years; two brothers, E. Linwood and Herbert Drumheller; a sister, Thelma Kaas, and a granddaughter, Renee Drumheller. Memorial Services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, April 15, 2013 at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King St., Pottstown. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. There will be no viewing. Contributions may be made in his memory to Emmanuel Lutheran Church "Shares of Faith", 150 N. Hanover St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown, PA. Our web site exists to serve the friends and family of the deceased. Ken and Josey were the best neighbors ever. We missed them so much when they moved. My deepest sympathy to the family. They were such caring people.
