Mary Elizabeth Bober

MARY BOBER, 85, FORMERLY OF PHOENIXVILLE Mary Elizabeth Bober, 85, formerly of Phoenixville, died Tuesday October 11, 2011 at Paoli Hospital. She was born in Phoenixville and was the daughter of the late John Charles, Sr and Josephine Stella (Wisneski) Bober. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Phoenixville. Mary Elizabeth was very active in animal protection agencies and many religious organizations. She served as a nurse in the United States Army during World War II, and then became a nun until illness made her retire from the order. She then worked as a Registered Nurse and retired from Phoenixville Manor. Surviving is one sister, Mildred A. Onder, Phoenixville; many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Komada, Eleanor Politowski, Dorothy Wojtas, Loretta Bober and Mary Theresa Bober, who recently passed on October 8, 2011, and brother, John Charles(Chuck) Bober, Jr. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday October 13, 2011 from Devlin-Rosmos-Kepp Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main Street & Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville.
