MaryAnne L. (Lessig) Decker, 84, of Lower Pottsgrove Twp., Pottstown, widow of Earl L. Decker, died Thursday June 17, 2021, at Mrs Bush’s Personal Care Home, Kunkletown, PA. Born in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Spencer B. Lessig and the late Lillian (Usher) Lessig. MaryAnne was a 1954 graduate of Pottstown High School. She attended Millersville State Teachers College and graduated from Ursinus College with an associates degree. She was employed in the credit office of the former New York Store, Pottstown for 8 years, and was the assistant credit manager with the former Kiwi Brands of Douglassville, for 30 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Pottstown. She was a Past Worthy Matron of Schuylkill Chapter #338 Order of Eastern Star; Past President of the Elks Doe Club, Pottstown. Surviving is one son, Robert E. husband of Jan Decker, Effort, PA; one daughter, Debra Lynn wife of Steven Sturgis, Mt. Joy, PA; two sisters, Sara Jane McCurdy, Schwenksville, PA; Patricia wife of Jeff Taylor, Berlington, NJ; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church, 750 N. Evans St., Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Carter Lester. Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday at the church. All those attending the service or visitation at the church are required to wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to: Elks National Foundation 2750 N.
