Mildred Abrams Obituary
Born in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of Barbara L. (Fisher) Yost, Pottstown, and the late Leon R. Yost.
Mildred was the bakery manager for Giant Supermarket for seventeen years.
Surviving beside her mother are two brothers, Paul D. Yost, Chula Vista, CA, Lee A. Yost and his wife Elisabeth, Parkesburg, PA; a step sister, Rosalie L. Dilks, Douglassville, and two "fur babies", Andy and E.J.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday Oct. 31, 2017 at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King St., Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Barry Moyer. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to Domestic Violence Center of Chester County https://www.dvccc.com/contact in Millie's memory.
Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown, PA.

My sincerest sympathy is extended to Mildred's family and loved ones. I knew her only through her work at Giant and the casual occurrences when she'd be on her way into or out of work; however, over the course of years, you come to see the heart and motivations of people, and I found Mildred to be a very caring, dedicated, considerate human being and I was always glad our paths crossed. I've not seen her in quite a long time, but I've often wondered how she was.
I remember her and always will. Some people touch your heart. May your awareness that she's free of all of the challenges life spins within our lives be of comfort.
I believe she was a child of God, and that the love of God knows no ends.
Rest in peace, Mildred, and rise in glory!
