Paula Nan Derr
1944 - 2021
Paula Nan (Lunn) Derr passed away on Saturday October 9, 2021. She was the only daughter of the late Eugene Lunn and Ina Mae (Scott) Lunn and sister of Michael Lunn of Gilbertsville, PA. Paula was born in Toledo, OH on August 12, 1944. She resided in Pottstown, PA until moving to Cape Coral, FL in 2011. After graduating from Pottstown High School in 1962, she attended the Empire School of Cosmetology. After a very successful career as a hairstylist, she decided on a career change; she became a job coach for the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit until retiring in 2010. She became a member of the Pottstown Elks #814 in 1997. Believing strongly in benevolence and supporting veterans, she was very active and moved through the chairs of leadership. In 2000, she became the first woman in its 100 years to be elected Exalted Ruler, which she served as for two consecutive years. Paula is survived by her husband Ted. In addition to her husband of 41 years, Paula is survived by her daughters Tracee (Schadler) Johnson of Little Silver, NJ, Adrienne (Leightcap) Imondi, son-in-law David Imondi of Cape Coral, FL, and stepson Daron Derr of Pottstown, PA. She has four wonderful grandchildren Brett Howe, Alivia Derr, Taylor Derr, and Wayne Johnson. She was preceded in death by her brothers Stephen and Robert Lunn. Arrangements are being handled by Coral Ridge Funeral Home,1630 SW Pine Island Rd Cape Coral, FL 33991. A celebration of her life will be held in Pottstown and Cape Coral some time in the near future. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pottstown Elks #814 Veterans committee,, 61 East High St., Pottstown PA or for those in Florida, contributions may be made to SWFL Military Museum & Library, 1217 E 320 Cape Coral PRK Way, FL 33904.

My condolences to the family. Although I haven't seen Paula in years, I have fond memories of her. She was always so vibrant and funny. May she Rest In Peace.
