Richard Righter Obituary
Mr. Righter was born May 16, 1921, in Roxborough, and was a son of the late Edson C. and Mabel I. (Rodebaugh) Righter. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Righter retired in 1973 from Tose, Inc., Bridgeport and Spring City, where he was a truck driver for 25 years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood Of Teamsters.
Mr. Righter is survived by his children, J. Robin, wife of William M. McGovern. of Lower Frederick Twp., Richard D. Jr., husband of Kimberly (Eicholz) Righter, of Lower Providence Twp., Penny A., wife of William O'Donnell, of Upper Frederick Twp., and John I. Righter, of Lower Frederick Twp.. He is also survived by his brothers, Edson E. "Nip," husband of Martha Righter, of Trappe, and Ivan R. "Joe" Righter, of Skippack Twp., as well as nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Norman D. Righter and Harry M. "Bob" Righter.
The funeral service will be private, at the Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., Trappe, with the Rev. Bradley Mellon, chaplain at Frederick Living, officiating. Burial will be in Keelor's Cemetery, Upper Frederick Twp.
Memorial contributions may be made to Frederick Living Residents Benevolent Care Fund, PO Box 498, Frederick, PA 19435.
