ROBERT M. WERKLEY, 76, OF POTTSTOWN Robert M. Werkley, 76, husband of Regina A. (Schwind) Werkley, of Pottstown, PA, died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 26, 2013. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Robert R. and Myrtle (Jones) Werkley. Robert served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961. He worked as an Engineer for General Electric/Lockheed Martin in King of Prussia, PA and was active in the company sports leagues. He was a member of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church in Kimberton, PA. He volunteered at the Phoenixville Senior Center helping people with taxes during tax season. He was a referee and umpire for Upper Merion Township youth sports. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports, and was a big Philadelphia Sports and Penn State fan. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Darryl and Ellen Werkley of Freehold, NJ, and , Mark husband of Rushell Werkley of York, PA; daughters, Dina wife of Steven Faus of Elizabethtown, PA; Janine Werkley of Kimberton, PA; and April wife of James Hennessey of Ashburn, VA; 12 grandchildren: Anne, Sarah, Margaret Werkley; Ryan, Corey, Andrea, Alex Faus; Kayla, Jimmy, Kevin Hennessey; Benjamin and Katherine Werkley; brother, Richard Werkley; and sisters, June Jacobson, April Calladonato and Elsie Kelley. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Ragone. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in St. Basil The Great Catholic Church, 2340 Kimberton Road, Kimberton, PA, on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 11 a.m. Burial will be private in St. Ann Cemetery. Relatives and Friends may call at the church on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Valerie Fund, in support of children with blood disorders and cancer atwww.TheValerieFund.org.
