Walter I. Hunsberger, 89, husband of Irene W. (Landes) Hunsberger, Skippack Twp., died Wednesday, October 13, 2021, while vacationing in Waymart, PA. Walter was born on July 15, 1932, in Upper Providence Twp., to the late Abram J. and Elizabeth W. (Histand) Hunsberger. Before retiring, Walter was the caretaker for the Variety Club Camp, Worcester Twp. He previously was a carpenter for the late Calvin Shaffer, building contractor. Walter was a member and Deacon of Providence Mennonite Church. In addition to his wife Irene of 68 years, Walter is survived by his children, Vernon Hunsberger, Skippack, Kathy Hunsberger, Skippack, Marlin, husband of Andrea (Pizzuto) Hunsberger, Barto, and Mark, husband of Terri (Ciccarelli) Hunsberger, Perkiomenville; his grandchildren, Aaron, Emily, Noah, Eric, Rebekah, and Caleb Hunsberger; and his great-granddaughter—Peyton. He was preceded in death by his brothers, David, Franklin, and Willis Hunsberger. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, at Providence Mennonite Church, 109 Mennonite Rd., Collegeville, PA. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Monday, at the Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., 21 Main St., Trappe; and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Tuesday, at church. Memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Missions Network, PO Box 370 Elkhart, IN 46515-0370 (you can designate “Dale Nafziger, Nepal” on memo line).
