William Leland Raysor Jr.

William Leland Raysor Jr., 61, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at 7:18 p.m. at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He was the husband of Denise (Putnam) Raysor, with whom he shared 34 years of marriage. They were married by Reverend Martin L. Acker, pastor of Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, on June 30, 1986, at Zion’s United Church of Christ. Bill and Denise were joined by their maid of honor, Linda Woodward Beans; their best man, Richard Ruhlman; and their junior bridesmaid, Amy Mull. Born in Pottstown, PA, on October 25, 1958, William was the son of the late William L. Raysor Sr. and Helen V. (Richard) Raysor. Bill was a graduate of the Pottstown High School, class of 1977. He then began his career working as a truck driver for various companies over the years, but spent his most time working for fifteen years for Boscov’s at their distribution center. He loved the game of baseball, and enjoyed attending the Phillies games and IronPigs games each year on his anniversary with Denise. When it wasn’t baseball season, he made sure to follow the Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers. He was a member of the Pottstown Quoit Club and the Pottstown Orioles Home Association.
