City of Poughkeepsie - On Monday August 12,2013 Anthony Caswell Nelson 49, of Poughkeepsie begun his journey to eternal rest. Tony was affectionately known as "English Mon or the Cable Guy" Anthony was born on December 11,1963 in Jamaica W.I and raised in Spanish Town; He was employed for TCI Cable Company in the 1990's, He also attended the National Cable Television Institute in Colorado; over the years he worked at various other places including Vassar College Waste Management Sanitation and more recently Brooklyn Bottling Company, Red Robin and EFCO in Poughkeepsie; Tony leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife Alexis L. Cole Nelson three daughters Ni"lma Naomi Nelson ,Savannah Nelson and Sharena Nelson; three step-children Courtney Johnson ,Khiil McKinney and Quentyn Cole all of Poughkeepsie; mother in-law Pamela Moore and sister in-law Shana Robinson, His Mother Sadie and step father Egerton McClean ,a host of other relatives and friends Tony will lie in repose on Wednesday August 21,2013 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the Smith Metropolitan AME Zion Church 124 Smith St Poughkeepsie NY 12601 funeral service will begin at 11:00AM with the Pastor Reverend Dwight H Bolton officiating ,Interment will be in the Wappingers Rural Cemetery Wappingers Falls NY; If you like Donations and flowers can be sent to Alexis Cole Nelson c/o Smith Metropolitan AME Zion Church 124 Smith Poughkeepsie NY 12601; Professional services entrusted to Rhodes Funeral Home 43 Fairview Avenue Poughkeepsie NY 12601 call us anytime (845)452-2894
