Wappingers Falls, NY - Charles Silvestri, 57, of Wappingers Falls, passed away Friday December 4, 2015 at Vassar Bros. Medical Center.
He was born in Poughkeepsie June 8, 1958, the son of William Silvestri and Doreen Gobbi. Charlie was employed as a groundskeeper at Dutchess Golf and Country Club, Poughkeepsie. He enjoyed the outdoors, bird feeding, and working and spending time with his twin brother Willy. Charlie was an avid Mets and Redskins fan.
Surviving are his mother, Doreen DeCarlo of Wappingers Falls, his twin brother, William Silvestri of Wappingers Falls, sisters, Sally Canavan of Poughkeepsie, Sandra Frye and her husband Doug of Florida, Susan Silvestri, Christine DeCarlo, both of Wappingers Falls, and Joanne Boyle of Beacon, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his stepfather, John DeCarlo, and brother-in-law, James Canavan.
Friends may call at the Delehanty Funeral Home 64 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM. Services will be held during the visitation.
