David Godbout Obituary
Wappingers Falls - David J. Godbout, 48, a lifelong area resident, died on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center following a long illness.
Born in North Tarrytown on October 6, 1965, he was the son of the late Roland and Margaret Fagan Godbout. Dave had served in the US Army and was employed as a laborer with Local #235 in Elmsford for 25 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a member of the Bethlehem Rod & Gun Club. He was also a huge fan of the New York Yankees and Giants.
On May 31, 1997 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill, Dave married Theresa O'Keefe. He is also survived by his children, Kyle and Allison Godbout; his siblings and their spouses, Judy and Chuck Seguine, Jimmy and Lillian Godbout; his father and mother-in-law, Peter and Alice O'Keefe; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary O'Keefe, Alice and John Zimnoch, Peter and Sara O'Keefe; his nieces and nephews, John, Jaymi, Keira, Kaylin, Ryan and Emma; and aunt and uncle, Carol and Frank Faiella. He was predeceased by his beloved aunt, Annie Hayes.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment at St. Denis Cemetery. Everyone is invited to a reception at the family's home following the burial on Saturday.
