To the Deguisto family, I am so sorry. Squishy (as we called Eddie at HMH-461) was an outstanding Marine, an entertaining friend to many, and had a work ethic seldom matched. It was my honor to serve alongside him. Rest easy Squishy.

To the DeGuisto Family: My heart is so heavy hearing this painful news. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult and dark time. Know that so many people are praying for you all and I hope that you will find some solice in remembering how well Christian lived his life. I never met him but in all my interactions with his mom, I felt as if I knew him because of how proud she was of him. Maybthr peace of the Lord continue to shine on you always.

I would like to express my deepest condolences to the DeGuisto family during this difficult time. I pray that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring you the same comfort it has brought me. Reflecting on such tender promises gives hope, and that hope can be so consoling at times like these.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
