Edward Fitzpatrick Obituary
Sarasota, Flordia - Edward M. Fitzpatrick, 80, of Sarasota Florida passed away on July 30, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie, NY. Born on November 9, 1932 in Poughkeepsie, NY; he was the son of the late Matthew and Dorothy Fitzpatrick. Edward served in the United States Navy. He worked for IBM for 36 years retiring in 1987. Edward enjoyed the outdoors including fishing, hunting and golfing. "Edward was a man of very few words, but had a great sense of humor and will be deeply missed by his children".
Survivors include his wife; Ronnie Miller of Sarasota Florida, and his first wife; Gladys Espie of Poughkeepsie; daughter Debra Bosch of Highland, NY; sons Michael Fitzpatrick of Florida, and Thomas Fitzpatrick of Highland, NY; step sons John and Bill Miller and step daughter Debbie Jaffe; Grandchildren, Fallon Fitzpatrick, CJ, Sara and Courtney Benton, Benjamin, Eric and Libbyella Miller, Max Jaffe and Ryan and Kyle Bosch, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Edward was predeceased by his parents and a son, John Fitzpatrick. There will be no calling hours and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. I worked with Ed years ago in East Fishkill and again in Kingston later on, and was the department manager when Ed retired. He was a good friend. What a great guy; everybody loved him. My sympathies go out to his family.
