Elmira Spaulding Obituary
Beacon, NY - Elmira 'Myra' A. Spaulding, 79, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2021 at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Newburgh, NY. She was born on October 1, 1941 in Beloit, WI, daughter of the late Elmer & Leatha (Shores) Hefti.
Elmira served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1960 - 1964, and received an honorable discharge for her service.
On September 15, 1984 in Beacon, NY, she married Otto P. Spaulding, who predeceased her on January 8, 2018.
Myra is survived by her son, Charlie (Heather) Kilmer; her 4 step-children: Wayne (Mary Ellen) Spaulding, Colleen Spaulding, Eric Spaulding, Neal (Sallie) Spaulding; her 8 grandchildren: Cassia, Sean, Tommy, Gideon, Danielle, Charles, Brandon, Corey and 2 great-grandchildren, Hayden & Edwin. She is also survived by her 2 brothers, Michael Barder & Thomas Dobson and 4 sisters, Donna Fulton, Patricia Kiss, Barbara Hager and Suzanne Longacre; and several nieces & nephews.
Her Family will gather for a memorial service to honor her Life on Tuesday, March 9th at 11am at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, followed by interment and military honors at the Fairview Cemetery, Beacon. In lieu of flowers the family wishes for memorial donations to be made to your favorite charity or to the Kaplan Family Hospice, 1 Sunrise Lane, Newburgh, NY 12550.
