Poughkeepsie - Erick L. Butler, 39, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on July 27, 2021 at home. He was born on January 11, 1982 in Cortlandt, NY the son of William & Patricia Lewis Butler. He married Bridget Butler and she survives in Poughkeepsie, NY. Erick was employed as an Assistant Manager at Rondout Savings Bank in Kingston, NY. He was an avid N.Y. Mets fan.
Survivors include his mother and step-father: Patricia (Brian) Cady of Hyde Park, NY; son: Logan Butler and daughter: Kyung Butler of Poughkeepsie; brother: Patrick Cady & sister: Katelyn Cady of Hyde Park, NY. He was predeceased by his father: William Butler.
Visitation is Friday, August 6, 2021 from 5-7 PM at the Wm. G. Miller & Son FH, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in children's names and mailed to: Bridget Butler, PO Box 1998, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601-1998. Eric was an amazing young man. Met through bill. She spoke often how much he loved his children. The last time I spoke with him he had said he had to go cuz he was going to go get his children. May God hold him in his hands and bless him

My deepest condolences to the family, especially to their children, who are still small for such great pain. only God will be able to fill that void in their hearts. Erick was a very kind person to me, he was my supervisor at the rinebeck hospital, when I got to that job, he was the only person who helped me who pushed me to develop a better job. He always told me you can learn very quickly. easy because he spoke Spanish and I had the confidence to speak with him, I still remember his way of laughing and I even remember some jokes that he used to do. He was a man with a good sense of humor. I am very grateful for everything he did for me and very sad because he is not here in this world anymore, I keep the smile that he used to have and the words of encouragement you can be better every day that always helped me to develop a better job. thank you Erik and may God receive you in his arms
