Ernest Lindmark Obituary
City of Poughkeepsie - Ernest Lindmark 71 of the City of Poughkeepsie died at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on October 30, 2011.
Born in Poughkeepsie New York on February 14, 1940, he was the son of Erik and Irma Ericisson Lindmark. Ernest was a Graduate of Poughkeepsie High School and he served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked for Love Oil Company as a Dispatcher, retiring in 2004.
Ernest was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Poughkeepsie, was a volunteer with the Lunch Box and the Walk Way over the Hudson. Ernest Loved the outdoors, loved to read and loved taking care of his children and grandchildren.
On September 26, 1964 at the Washington Street Hedding Methodist Church her married Donna Stickle.
Ernest is survived by his wife Donna at home; son and daughter in-law Erik and Melanie Lindmark of Gallatin NY; son and daughter in-law Glenn and Lisa Lindmark of Cincinnati Ohio; daughter and her companion Melissa Lindmark and Erik Pope of Pleasant Valley NY and Kelly Traver who was like a daughter to him.
Ernest is also survived by his grandchildren, Parker, Tess, Tori, Austin, Taylor, Jacob, his brother Harry Lindmark; two sisters Ingrid Lindmark, BettyAnn Zeller and several nieces and nephews. Ernest was predeceased by two brothers Eric Lindmark and Arne Lindmark.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4pm to 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie New York. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations can be made in lieu of flowers to The Town of Poughkeepsie PBA Tucker Drive Poughkeepsie New York or to Dutchess Out Reach.
