What wonderful memories of the fun we all had at Gartleys Tool & Drool Disco (as we affectionately called the bar) for many years at Hunter. Chickie Lamb & Hannibal always present, too. Fergie, Fabulous Frankie,Wombat, Moose, George Bushman and so many more Mt Babushka Deep Dive Team members. Thank you for being the real person you were, Gart! Youre probably sharing a cocktail or two now with Fergie (Dave Ferguson) & more of the gang. Peace.

So sad to here the passing of Gart, he was a good friend when we lived inTannersville. We saw him many times when we lived in Fla.He would come to our sons wrestling matches when he lived in Melborne. We thought of him often. may God wrap him in the warmth of his arms.

Sorry to have heard of Gartley's passing. As was his nature, he sent notes with very kind words at the times when my parents passed. My thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

At a time when Autumn lets go of Summer's hand , I have many fond memories of Gartley , who was a tremendous friend to my family .
I recall him being upset when the Dodgers left Brooklyn , and then being elated a couple of years later when the Mets started up .
I remember him crying by the radio when Buddy Holly died , and smiling by the record player when he listened to his favorite songs .
I remember him being there when the old died too young , and when the young grew up too quickly .
But most of all , I will remember him as being there in all four seasons , every year I have been on Earth .
And I will always recall that he named one of his bars in tribute to a Harry Chapin song . Late at night , if you look to the stars , you will be able to hear Gartley and Harry Chapin singing together .
Thank you again , Gartley , Tom Kelly and family
