Gerasimos Toulios Obituary
MILLBROOK - Gerasimos ("Makis", or "Mike") Toulios, 75, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015. Born in Cephallonia, Greece, to the late Panagis and Sofia Toulios, he was a longtime resident of Middletown,NY and most recently, Millbrook, NY.
He was a cook at several Hudson Valley diners throughout the years, and later owned and operated his own wholesale produce company, Omega Wholesale Co., before retiring. A gregarious man, he loved to spend time with family and friends, garden, cook, fish, play cards and backgammon.
He is survived by his daughter, Sophia Sweeny, his son-in-law Jim, his grandson, Michael of Millbrook, NY; four brothers: Spiros of Long Beach, CA, Antonios (Tony) of Pompton Lakes, NJ and Cephalonia, Greece, Dionysios (Dennis) of Monroe, NY, and Constantinos (Costas) of Marlboro, NJ, and one sister: Joanna Matiatos, of Cephalonia, Greece; six nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Viewing hours will be on Saturday, February, 14, 2015 from 4 - 7 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Avenue, Millbrook, NY. A mass will be offered on Sunday, February 15, 2015 beginning at 3 pm at Grace Episcopal Church, 3328 Franklin Avenue, Millbrook, NY. Burial will follow in Nine Partners Cemetery, Church Street, Millbrook, NY.
