Gracie A. Wade

Poughkeepsie, New York - Gracie A. Wade, 91, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at home. Born in Lawrenceville, VA on December 8, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Mosley and Annie Mays Eley. She was previously from Bronx, NY and had been a local resident since 1999. She had worked as a bookkeeper on Wall Street. Gracie married Allen Thurman in 1956 and he predeceased her. She was a member of Masters Touch in New Paltz. Gracie is survived by her children; daughter Alana Wade and her son Alan Thurman, both of Poughkeepsie. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Takesha A.M. Thomas, Andrew P. Thomas, III, Ladu T. Wade, Terrance Clark and Nandie K. Clark. In addition she is survived by her great-grandchildren; Aniyah M. Clark-Davis, Arianna S. Clark Johnson and Takyra A.M. Thomas. Funeral Service be held Monday February 1, 2021 at 11am at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Burial is private and at the convenience of the Family.
