Crichton, Jr.
SUFFERN - James "Jim" Crichton, Jr., a resident of Suffern, NY and former Pleasant Valley resident, passed away at home on Saturday, March 26, 2011. He was 49 years old.
Son of loving parents, James Crichton, Sr., and Sandra Crichton, Jim graduated Marist College with honors and received a BA in Behavioral Sciences and a Masters degree in Psychology. He went on to work for various pharmaceutical companies as a research analyst, most recently as a Systems Administrator with Pfizer. A voracious reader who loved music and sports, as well as attending live concerts all over the East Coast, he took the most pleasure in spending time with his family.
He is survived and will be missed terribly by his parents and his Grandmother, Vivian Saxon; brother Joseph Crichton; sister-in-law Karen Crichton; sister, Kari Simmons; brother-in-law Bill Simmons; nieces, Ellie Astruc and Zoe Simmons; nephews, Stuart Astruc, Kyle Crichton, Alex Crichton, Ben Simmons and many adoring cousins, aunt and uncles.
A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 3:00 - 4:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the Family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jim's name to RIF, Reading is Fundamental at http://www.rif.org/ or to the Pleasant Valley Fire Dept. Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 1389, Pleasant Valley, NY 12569.

I continue to think of Jim and the impact he had on my life. So kind and generous.

Just found out about this forum. There is no replacing Uncle Jimmy. He taught me about kindness, and much about the art of conversation. Perhaps the most likable person i've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I never go too long without thinking about him.
Jim i have your necklace and to this day i wear it any time i feel uncertain entering into any situation. You still bring me comfort even 5 years later.
