Highland - Jay Andrew McTiernan, of Highland, NY died on January 4th, after a long illness.
Andrew was born in Ilion, NY in 1963 to Charles and Joyce McTiernan. He graduated from Ilion High School and received his Bachelors Degree from East Carolina University. Andrew was the beloved husband of Linda Halaska McTiernan and the devoted father of Jack and Ewan. In building their family together, Andrew achieved his greatest accomplishment.
Most recently, Andrew was part of the team at Studio Macbeth in Kingston, NY, that was awarded an Emmy for outstanding digital animation. And together with Linda, Andrew opened the Zipper Theater in Manhattan, which premiered several highly acclaimed off-Broadway productions.

Memorial services for Jay Andrew will be held both near Highland and in Ilion. On Saturday January 12, 2013 at 11:30 a.m., a service will be held at The Falcon in Marlboro, NY. On Sunday, January 13, 2013 services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of the Annunciation followed by a reception at 1:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 74 West Street, Ilion, NY.
