Poughkeepsie - Jeanette V. Wright, 89, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on January 31, 2021 in the Lutheran Care Center, Poughkeepsie, NY. She was born on September 25, 1931 in Poughkeepsie, NY, the daughter of Garrett & Agnes Mulder Voerman. Jeanette was a graduate of Arlington High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Poughkeepsie.

Jeanette married Donald O. Wright on July 28, 1950 in Elkton, Maryland. He predeceased her on October 29, 2005. She was employed at Central Hudson as a Telephone Representative in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Jeanette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was lovingly known as "Aunt Nettie" to her nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Lutheran Care Center for the care and support during her stay there.

Survivors include her daughters: Donna (Brian) Medici, Sr. of Poughkeepsie, NY and Brenda (Michael) Odell of the Town of Stanford, NY. Grandchildren include: Erin, Cassandra, Carly, Kyle, Brian, Dane her 6 Great-Granddaughters. There are several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers: Peter, Louis and Gerald Voerman.

There are no calling hours. Graveside services will be Friday, February 5, 2021 at 1PM in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to: Vassar-Warner Home, 52 So.
