Joann Marrone Obituary
Highland - Joann Marrone, 63, a resident of Highland passed away peacefully on November 3, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
Joann worked in the heating oil business for 45 years. She was most recently the credit manager for Love Effron Oil Company.
Joann enjoyed spending time at the beach, the casino, dancing, and most of all time with her beloved family and friends. She was always the life of the party, and was loved by all that knew her. Joann was a wonderful wife, mother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She always told her family that she never went a day without laughing. She always thought of everyone else before herself. She will truly be missed by all.
Joann was the daughter of Albert and Nancy Carbone. She was born on December 27, 1951 in the Bronx, NY. Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Ralph "Sonny" Marrone, daughter Debra Marrone, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her mother Nancy Carbone, father Albert Carbone, and sister Antoinette Flores.
In lieu of flowers, in honor of Joann's favorite charity, donations can be made to the Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
Calling hours are Friday November 6th from 4-8pm at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. 218 Mill St. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Street level and wheelchair accessible entrance located off Vassar St.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 7th 11:30am at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church in Highland.
Burial will follow in Union Cemetery of Lloyd in Highland.

I had the pleasure of working with Joann for the past several years. We only had phone contact but I felt I got to know her very well. She always spoke fondly of her family and always seemed to enjoy holiday preparations, especially baking her holiday cookies.
