Melanie and Family of John Kranik,
We just learned recently about John's passing. Please accept our sincere condolences. I have lost a wonderful boss and very good friend. I have had many managers in IBM and John is at the top of the list for his skill, insight, positive attitude and friendship. I know no words can make it any easier, but I know that John loved you and you were a good wife and good sons and family. You will have wonderful memories that are yours forever. Again, very sorry for your loss.

I worked with John in the late 60's, we had lots of good times at IBM and I was lucky to have bought John's red 65 Mustang convertible from him, great car from a great guy!
Bless All.

Melanie, our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family upon John's passing. I feel so blessed to have had John as both a mentor and special friend though our years together at IBM, and subsequent time with MKS and into his retirement. He always made it a point to stay in touch with me on his trips back to NY. I particularly remember him inviting me to join him and his son for dinner on one of his more recent trips and the memorable times we shared on my visits to Austin and to your home. The love John had for you was so evident in his sharing of the special times the two of you have had together. May God's peace and blessings be with you and the family at this time.
Love, Bob and Arnette Schmidt
