Lauren Barbee Obituary
Barbee
WINSTON SALEM, NC - Lauren Michelle Barbee age 23 of Winston Salem passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, September 7, 2012 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with Rev. William Sowers. Burial will follow to Hedrick's Grove United Church of Christ.
Lauren was born November 10, 1988 in Danbury, CT to Thomas Richard Barbee and Judi Patricia Barbee. She graduated in 2007 from North Davidson High School and was employed with Break Time of Winston Salem. She is preceded in death by her brother Matthew James Barbee in 2000.
Surviving are her son Matthew Kenneth Barbee and partner Kyle Shane Lewis, her parents; Thomas Richard Barbee and Judi Patricia Barbee, her sister; Kimberly Diane Barbee all of Winston Salem. Her grandparents; Richard and Roma Barbee of Poughkeepsie, NY, Jean Newland of Greenlawn, NY and Walter Newland of Greensboro, NC.
In lieu of flowers the family would like memorials sent to: Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 5950 Fairview Road Suite 250 Charlotte NC 28210.
Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.

My heart goes out to the Barbee Family and espcially little Matthew. I met Lauren Just one day before she passed away while completing her babys Birth Certificate and Forsyth. She had such a humble spirit, Very well mannered and kind. To her Family and Friends God make no mistakes and he will take care of you in your time of grieving. Lauren is now in a better place.

I will cherish all of my memories that we had together, I still cant believe I'm typing this, it just doesnt feel right. I miss you girl, Even when I couldnt be by your side all I had to do was look at facebook and Im sure there would be something hilarious to look at to brighten my day. You were always there when we needed you the most, now we have to accept that now you are where you are needed the most and we cant be selfish anymore. ILU!!!

I did not have the honor of knowing your precious daughter, but I do have the honor of knowing her sweet friend Katelyn. I have been praying since Monday and my heart goes out to you all. May God give you peace in time, as only He can. Heaven must be rejoicing with her there. I look forward to meeting her one day because she sounds like such a beautiful soul.

She was the first person that I met when I moved to winston salem in high school. She always made me laugh when I was feeling down. She was an amazing and kind hearted person. I can't believe someone so great can be taken from this world.
